In your opinion, what was the best time of john lennon?
wow, that’s a really good question. I had to dwell on it all day yesterday before I gave my answer. I could go the easy route and say that I loved every era of John, but I don’t think I would be completely honest if I said that. This is all in my opinion of course and people can agree or disagree with what I will say. That’s the beauty of free will. I won’t say BEST time though, I’ll choose to say my own personal favorite instead out of respect for others! Anyways, my favorite time in John Lennon’s life has to be around the whole 1960’s beatlemania era. I’m the type of person who could watch A Hard Day’s Night over and over again and be completely content with myself. While some of my favorite songs from both John and the Beatles are from the later years in regards to John as a solo artist and as a part of The Beatles, I still have a great appreciation for the early songs and a closer connection to them. Most of the earlier songs are the ones I grew up listening to, and one of my earliest memories is singing karaoke to Yellow Submarine with my younger sister. One of my favorite songs will always be “I Want to Hold Your Hand” (written by Lennon and McCartney), for example. I could go on and on about why I prefer this over that, but I’ll choose to stop here for now so I don’t bore anyone. I’m very glad you asked me this, and of course I am just speaking for myself and not the other two contributers of this tumblr! Thank you for following us and sending in your question! Feel free to send in any other questions you may have for us.
i always come to The Beatles Night every Wednesday in a outdoor Mall near to my house. I just feel peace with every The beatles song that they play. i never see John Lennon, Im 17, and i already a big fan of him since kid. I just wish i could go to the 60's to see The Beatles performing just for a minute :(
I would take that trip with you! It would be amazing to be able to go back in time and actually get to see him perform live. I bet a lot of fans feel this way.
i just miss him so much, you know :( i keep wondering how world would be with him still in it.
i agree :( but it’s nice to know that he left quite a legacy behind. and while he isn’t around physically anymore, when you start to miss him, listen to his music and it will be like he’s right there with you <3
We wanted to just let you know that tomorrow (or today depending on where you are in the world) (December 8th) is the 30th anniversary of John’s passing. We’re going to be posting different things throughout the day, but feel free to send in any thoughts that you may wish to share, but please use discretion as we do not want to offend anyone. Thank you again for following and being so amazing, guys. We love running this blog and hope that tomorrow is not a sad day, but a celebration of John Lennon’s life.
